Last Saturday before we go to the Esplanade to catch up for the Earth Hour, we ate at Thai Express. It was my first time to eat there and for a normal afternoon/night meal, eating there is somehow extraordinary. I don’t know. It’s just that my taste buds are more comfortable with hawker food stalls and Kopitiam’s and that I find it unusual eating at a nice restaurant. Anyway, Darwin already paid for that so why bother!? 🙂
I ordered seafood fried rice with shrimp paste which also known as “binagoongang kanin”. It was superb! Like is an understatement. 🙂 One of the best fried rice ever (seriously). Plus, I really enjoyed my Watermelon shake with Lime drink. I can’t remember the name of the dish that Darwin ordered, but all I can remember is that it’s really spicy and I did not like it. hehe
After our merienda/pre-dinner, we went biking (again) and reach Esplanade after half an hour. I knew that Earth Hour is being celebrated worldwide so Darwin and I decided to go there to check for the latest happenings. To my dismay, many of the buildings have not switched off their lights and that I was really expecting a totally ‘lights off’ atmosphere.
