Today is Halloween, a day of trick or treating, Halloween costumes, ghost stories, vampires and other scary stuff. I want to feel the spirit of Halloween so I did something unusual today.
I had a bloody encounter with modern day vampires early this morning. And no, I’m not talking about those “Edward-Cullenish-I’m-wearing-MAC-foundation-and-Maybelline-red-lipstick-plus-body-shimmer” type of vampires.:-) (Sorry Twilight fans for disappointing you again…but Edward sucks – literally and figuratively HAHAHA!)
I’m referring to the nurses and volunteers for the Red Cross Organization. 🙂 Yes! I can now cross out one of my life’s to-do list for donating blood today. I mentioned this already in one of my previous blog entries and I’m happy for fulfilling it. Actually, I’m also a little bit bored today (so ganun na ba ma bored ngayon, nagpapamigay na lang ng dugo?! HAHA!) I’m thinking of doing this on a regular basis (btw, it’s another 12 weeks in the waiting before the next blood donation), but I’m also thinking of getting inked sometime soon too which is also one of my life’s to-do. I’m getting confused now…:-S
So why is “blood donation“ a fun experience? Well…
- It’s for a good cause. Saving someone’s life is a good contribution to do the society.
- Plus, it’s a perfect excuse to convince yourself that you lost weight
- Plus, there are take away freebies
- Plus, there’s free breakfast offered at the venue (Oh yes! Payday is still a week away and I’m now at my very poorest so getting a free breakfast – water, milo, coffee, sandwich, juice is just so perfect! Imagine san ka pa naman makakahanap ng libre sa ganitong panahon di ba?! May alam akong lugar na libre ang coffee, milo, biskwit, tinapay at juice pero di mo yun maeenjoy dun.)
