I woke up this morning seeing my news feed flooded with sad news on Whitney Houston’s passing. I’m sad to know this, almost had the same reaction when Amy Winehouse, my other favorite singer, died a couple of months ago. It’s heartbreaking to know that so much talent is wasted because of drug problems.
Who else doesn’t know Whitney Houston? She’s one of the divas I really like. How could you forget the movie ‘The Bodyguard’? And her very good songs, emo songs for the hopeful, loveless, in love, etc. She touched my life. How? Well, videoke sessions wouldn’t be as fun without belting her all time hits. At least once in our lives, mag feeling diva sa videoke bars di ba? My favorite songs of hers are Saving All My Love For You, One Moment In Time (kinanta ko nung grade 2 ako for our Music subject and di ko natapos yung buong kanta sa takot sa teacher ko…hahaha), I Will Always Love You, All The Man That I Need, Run To You, I Have Nothing, I’m Every Woman, It’s Not Right but It’s Ok, Didn’t We Almost Have, I Believe in You and Me, Where Do Broken Hearts Go (isa pa to favorite!!!) and lastly, The Greatest Love of All. Makadurog puso yung mga songs nya minsan pero feel na feel mo lang kasi talagang umemote eh!
To one of my favorite singers, I’m dedicating this small space of my blog for you, just one from your millions of fans.
“…The greatest love of all
Is easy to achieve
Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all.”
