finally, winter is coming to an end. days are getting longer, as noticed from the early sunrise and late sunset everyday. it wasn’t as cold as like the early days of june and i could see small flowers peeking and saying hello to the upcoming season. also, i just completed my 6 months here in new zealand which made me realize how fast the time is.
last saturday, my husband and i went on a road trip adventure to go to mount hutt ski resort which is a 2-hour drive from christchurch. we booked a round trip shuttle for a whole day trip. the weather forecast said that it will be cloudy and rainy that day but we are blessed with a good weather by the time we arrived. we’ve never seen a hardcore snow here in christchurch since we arrived so i beg my husband to join me and go to the mountains at least before spring comes in.
it’s freezing cold standing on top of a mountain surrounded with white powdery snow. it’s a chilly 3 degrees in there and the wind blowing our faces makes it much worse. winter is not for us after all. (“,)
since we do not know how to ski nor to snowboard, we just enjoy the view and take pictures of the beautiful surrounding. there are lessons available for those who want to try but renting a complete recreation gear is quite costly so we decided to do it maybe … on our next lifetime. haha.
