after a year of hiatus, i’m finally back at rapaki. i was not pregnant yet the last time i’ve been there.
it’s nice to be here again. the hills always bring happy memories of me and my husband when it was only just the two of us. despite the struggle, we always make sure to reach the finish line. the hard work pays off whenever we see the hills, sunset and the flock of sheep roaming freely along the country side. there’s also a nice view overlooking christchurch upon reaching the top.
four months after giving birth, i feel that my body is back to normal and i can do long walks again. i need to be active to shed the extra weight i gain from the pregnancy. i reached 80kg at the end of the pregnancy and i’m now at the 66-67kg range (69kg if i ate too much – lol) and i’m hoping to reach my pre-pregnancy weight of 60kg. libre naman mangarap no! it is challenging because i’m also exclusively breastfeeding and i feel hungry all the time. i’m also not sweating that much here compared to when i was in sg and ph because nz has a cool climate all year round and winter is making it worse..good luck to me!
with the help of our trusty carrier, we can bring along the baby with us, snuggled and cozy inside. 😉 we occasionally bring the pram with us to put our things underneath but we find the carrier convenient most of the time.
baby is enjoying the outdoors too. at four months, he is now alert and curious to look around. he’s also got lots of smiles too. 🙂 he started laughing when we pushed the pram downhill. perhaps, he will be adventurous just like mom and dad!
so bored with staying at home all day everyday for four months! but don’t get me wrong, i’m enjoying my time with baby. a nice walk on a lovely weather surely helps me get back my sanity. haha!
